blood plum & rose granita

Just when I thought we could relax and enjoy the arrival of Autumn – bringing with it lovely cool mornings and a slight chill in the evening air – another burst of hot weather has arrived in Sydney.

I’d like to grumble and moan (and maybe, just maybe, I have…) but instead let’s focus on something slightly more productive, and if I may say so, much more delicious –

Like this rose geranium and blood plum granita.

Cool, fruity and easy, this icy dessert is just what the doctor ordered.

Serve straight up in glasses for an light and refreshing icy dessert, or top with sparkling wine for a delicious, and decidedly more adult, pre-dinner drink.
