roses and gin

i’m not sure about you, but in our household friday evenings often call for gin.

it’s our current spirit of choice, and if i’m to be totally honest, our intake is not always solely limited to fridays.

now today being valentine’s day and therefore a little bit more special than your average friday (assuming you go in for that kind of thing), i thought an extra-special gin based cocktail was in order – something easy to whip up but a little more rosy and adventurous than my usual order of gin and tonic.

the result: a rosy and romantic version of the classic gin fizz.
and you know what? i think this little number is the perfect valentine’s tipple: sweetly floral, citrus-y and scarily easy to drink.

happy valentine’s day.
