we have been busy you see…
busy tripping around australia attending weddings –
its a tough life, i know!
but after all that love and celebration (it really was fun!),
my own poor little kitchen was feeling decidedly unloved.
so, keen to get a head start on the weekend and warm my little kitchen’s heart,
on friday i made tarts. really, what could be more cheerful?
i decided on a fruity little number and firm favourite of mine –
rhubarb and almond.
sweet almond frangipane was the perfect foil for the fruity, tart rhubarb,
and snuggly housed in buttery-sweet pastry they did make a rather splendid afternoon tea (and did someone say breakfast the next day?).
