melting moments

this past weekend required some serious baking-therapy.

i have been away for 2 weeks you see –
away having an amazing tropical holiday that was perfect in all respects bar one:
a severe lack of baked goods.

it seems, you see, that thai people aren’t big on cakes and biscuits.
amazing seafood and killer spices yes, but macarons and melting moments,
not so much.

thus, the weekend called for classic baking of the most comforting kind
and passionfruit melting moments seemed to tick all the boxes –
soft, buttery biscuits and tangy-sweet passionfruit icing.

comforting and crumbly and oh-so delicious.
